Weather decides the plan
Snow can close mountain passes and chain controls apply on winter roads, so we plan weather contingencies, build in travel buffers and send guests clear driving guidance for winter dates.
Two peak seasons
Summer is peak season for lakeside weddings, and ski-season weekends are popular in winter. Both book early, and lodging near the lake sells out.
Altitude
At roughly 6,000 feet, guests feel the elevation and the evenings run cold even in summer. We plan water, shade, pacing and warm layers into the day.
Parks and permits
Events in national parks and on public land need permits, and many limit guest counts and locations. We start those applications early.
